Looking Good
Eighty percent of what we learn is the result of our sense of sight; the ability to see guides us through the most mundane daily tasks and the most spectacular moments of our lives. The sun’s rays, long hours at the computer screen, watching television, pollution and environment, or a poor diet can have an adverse affect on eye health. Recently, new estimates indicate that by the year 2030, there will be twice as many people suffering from blindness as there are today! Many of us can prevent decline to eyesight with preventive eye care. That's why we're focusing on eyes this week on Peter's Principles Radio! We'll discuss common childhood eye problems, the causes of sight loss due to aging, work-related accidents or environmental issues and offer simple tips on how to protect yourself and your loved ones from a life-altering loss of vision. Please join Peter for another information-packed show that will help you protect your eyes from possible damage due to the environment and the stress of everyday life.
Joining us this week (on Peter's Principles) will be Dr. Conrad Giles, Pediatric Ophthalmologist at DMC Children’s Hospital and Dr. William Lucas, Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at the Kresge Eye Institute.
Peter’s Principles airs this Sunday, August 8th at 8 p.m. on WJR News/Talk 760 in Detroit.
