Researchers studied more than four thousand women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer and that found the odds of fatality from the disease rose 14 percent for every 11 pounds a woman gains after the diagnosis! Additional research by the
Women's Health Initiative found that women who exercised after being diagnosed with breast cancer cut their chance of losing their lives to the disease by as much as one half!
Diet plays a measurable role in breast cancer prevention and recovery, and points to the importance of a healthy nutritional regimen. Avoid fats that may increase the risk of developing breast cancer, and fruits, vegetables, and grains may help to reduce the risk. Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables each day, and replace unsaturated fats with monounsaturated fats, which arefound in olive. Limit eating whole-milk dairy products, meat, and fried foods. Include vitamins A, C, D, and E, and calcium, selenium, and iodine in your diet and limit alcoholic drinks to one or two per day.
